Coming Soon: Assets!
We’re thrilled to announce that Assets will soon be available on the Rmoni platform! This powerful new feature will allow you to link assets to specific sensors, ensuring standardized (alarm)settings across your operations. It will also give more insight in the technical operations of your system. The asset release can be split in two main developments:
- Manage sensors (including asset types)
- System health
1. Manage sensors
With the upcoming Assets feature, you’ll be able to:
- Standardize Alarm Settings – Set predefined thresholds for alarms, ensuring consistency and reducing manual configuration.
- Streamline Sensor Management – Easily assign and update sensor settings across different assets with a few simple clicks.
The Manage sensors page is the page where users can create asset types and link these to sensors. This way, alarm settings are standardized for all sensors with that asset type. The page enables users to easily see whether an alarm has been set or not.
The current methods of adding alarms to sensors will also remain active. There is no need to edit anything once the release is live.
2. System health
The second part of the update is the System Health Page—a centralized hub for managing all your technical monitoring needs! With the System Health Page, you’ll be able to:
- Monitor Device Health – Keep track of battery levels, signal strength, and online status for gateways, routers, and end devices.
- Simplify System Alarms – All system alarms will now be managed in one place per device, making it easier to see if something is outside set limits.
- Enhance Visibility & Control – Quickly assess the status of your network and take action before issues escalate.
All system alarms are migrated to this page and managed here. The page helps by indicating whether an alarm is set and if values are outside of the set limit. The predefined limits for the status indicator are:
- Warning for battery percentage if below 20%
- Warning for low signal strength if below -70 dBm
- Warning for offline status if offline
On the day of the release, all support articles will be published as well. Make sure to check back here for a quick overview to all articles.
